Working with living artists allows us the chance to ask them directly about their work and process, taking a peek behind the curtain to understand what drives their art practice. In this Quest10ns series, we ask artists whose work is on view at the AGH ten questions on topics ranging from people, places, time periods, and techniques.
Our newest exhibition is the first major Canadian solo exhibition of works by Chinese-born, Montreal-based artist Chun Hua Catherine Dong. Working with performance, photography, and video for over a decade, Dong examines issues related to gender, cultural identity, migration, and diaspora. This week’s Quest10ns article features the artist herself, providing some brief glimpses into her inner life.
