The AGH is thrilled to invite you to a 6-week beading circle workshop, hosted by internationally-renowned, Indigenous Canadian fashion designer, Angela DeMontigny.
Join Angela in the Radical Stitch Beading Room, as she shares her practice and traditional beading techniques as well as cultural wisdom.
Participants will be inspired to create a beading project – either an appliqué, or adornment – drawing upon their own cultural backgrounds for a personal design, while sharing their own family stories and developing a deeper understanding of the rich history and artistry of beading.
Starting Thursday, March 2nd from 7-9pm, this workshop will take place weekly as part of the Radical Stitch Exhibition, at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
Weekly course dates:
March 2, March 9, March 23, March 30, April 6, April 13
March 16 will be skipped due to March Break
This workshop is sold out.
