In this hands-on course with Artist/Instructor Diana Gordon, students will learn to emulate the Impressionist style of Canadian artist Helen McNicoll.
Starting with an analysis of her techniques, you will practice key elements of her painting style through close-up studies using acrylics. You will then select a McNicoll painting to replicate, including her iconic Apple Gatherer. Weekly visits to the exhibition will offer insights into her colour palette, brushstroke techniques, and composition. By the end, you will have created a piece inspired by McNicoll’s unique style. For all levels from beginner to experienced. Lots of individual attention.
All skill levels: beginner to experienced
Materials will be provided.
