The Art Gallery of Hamilton is very pleased to invite Keeping Six and Open Heart Arts Theatre to co-host their third Open Mic.
Keeping Six – Hamilton Harm Reduction Action League is a community-based organization that defends the rights, dignity, and humanity of people who use drugs. It was formed in response to the ravages of the opioid crisis, and out of recognition of the need for an organized voice for people with lived and living experience of substance use at the many stakeholder tables, attempting to manage and overcome the drug epidemic in the city of Hamilton. Membership is primarily people with lived experience of drug use and those who love and care for them.
All are welcome to attend as we work towards building understanding, compassion and knowledge about people in our community. Participation is open to all those with lived experience of substance use.
Admission is free but donations are welcome!
Please register by emailing arts@keepingsix.org, or register in-person on the day starting at 5:30 pm.
Before this event begins, participants will have the opportunity to join a FREE tour of the Gallery.
