ARE YOU READY TO GET YOUR SLAM ON?!?

Whether you’re a poet (and you know it), a wordsmith, or a lover of words – start your summer off right with a tall cool glass of poetry on a hot June night! Come with your bars loaded and fingers ready to snap as writers from across the city battle it out with words and prose (aka a poetry slam).

Our top three poets will be taking home a cash prize 1st $150, 2nd $75, 3rd $25 and have a chance to take part in the city-wide championship this December.

For our community members wanting to hit the mic but not compete – we invite you to bring your guitars, banjos, poetry, old jokes and good joke as we’ll be hosting an OPEN MIC before the SLAM. No better place to share than with community.
