The Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects and Young Architects of Hamilton will be showing a 3 part short film series produced by the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA.)
The series examines the ways in which changing societies, new economic pressures, and increasing population density are affecting the homes of various communities. Through the lens of architectural projects in different socio-political contexts, each episode looks at the global scope as well as the local specificities of a particular issue.

HBSA/YAH is a group of young Architects, Architectural Technologists and Technicians, Interior Designers, and other design professionals who live and/or work in the Hamilton area.
HBSA/YAH’s focus is to represent and promote the young and aspiring members of the architectural community in Hamilton. By facilitating conversations about how architecture and its many related fields can influence a community, HBSA/YAH aims to help build up Hamilton’s bright future.
The Canadian Centre for Architecture is an international research institution and museum premised on the belief that architecture is a public concern. We produce exhibitions and publications, develop and share our collection as a resource, advance research, offer public programs, and host a range of other activities driven by a curiosity about how architecture shapes—and might reshape—contemporary life. We invite collaborators and the wider public to engage with our activities, giving new relevance to architectural thinking in light of current disciplinary and cultural issues.
Founded as a new type of cultural institution by Phyllis Lambert in 1979, the CCA is currently directed by Giovanna Borasi and steered by the CCA Board of Trustees. To learn more about us, you can read about our history, refer to a timeline of our past activities, or explore the ways that we are working toward fostering affirmative relationships with Indigenous and other peoples across Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal through the process of creating a living land acknowledgement.
