The off-again, on-again drama behind Hamilton’s impending Light Rail Transit system has already had dramatic impacts on city housing and local economies years before any actual infrastructure has been installed. This Town Hall will focus on the complexities of these impacts and in particular the role of local artists and the resonance and/or relevance of community art projects as a means to amplify and serve community interests during times of intense urban development.
Join artist Ingrid Mayrhofer (whose current exhibition at the AGH deals directly with this subject), Koubra Haggar from the Hamilton Community Benefits Network, Ward 3 City Councilor Nrinder Nann, and poet and educator Klyde Broox, in this open discussion moderated by Dakota Lanktree. Your input is needed!
Free Admission.
This event is being hosted in person at the Art Gallery of Hamilton as well as online. Click here to join on Zoom.
PUBLIC TOURS - Saturdays & Sundays at 1:00 pm (Regular Admission), Thursdays at 6:30 pm (FREE)
