ONLINE ARTIST LED PROJECTS
(Kindergarten-Grade 8)
Pop Up Puppet Play! (Gr. 1-5)
In this fun, light-hearted series, join acclaimed Hamilton musician Treasa Levasseur as we explore ways to make puppets from ordinary household objects like spoons, socks, paper bags, or whatever is at hand. We will use those puppets to explore drama concepts like role, character, and relationship through voice work, and written and improvised dialogue. The main focus of literacy work will be the point of view. Curriculum tie-ins: Language, Drama.
AGH Youth Film Challenge
(Grades 4-12)
The AGH Film Festival’s annual Youth Film Challenge is accepting short films from aspiring filmmakers of all ages. Making a movie with a phone or Ipad is very easy, and is a productive use of screen time that engages literacy in developing storytelling skills. Our artist-educators can help through our Online projects.
