Talking About Art: People and Stories – With a focus on visual literacy, students will look for clues in three paintings to uncover the story the artist is telling. (language – inferencing)

AGH Youth Film Challenge
(Grades 4-12)
The AGH Film Festival’s annual Youth Film Challenge is accepting short films from aspiring filmmakers of all ages. Making a movie with a phone or Ipad is very easy, and is a productive use of screen time that engages literacy in developing storytelling skills. Our artist-educators can help through our Online projects.

In the first of a series of weekly videos, Sylvia will introduce herself and share a short look at her current work, as she prepares to begin her year-long project at the AGH.
The Writer’s Process – Documenting your own Journey (Gr. 6 to 12)
Through journal entries (video or written), students will learn to create short films. Filmmaker Vanessa Crosbie Ramsay will lead students on a creative journey of storytelling through video.
