Toronto-based artist Kristiina Lahde makes elegant conceptual investigations into found and everyday materials, paying strong attention to the possibilities of paper. This exhibition is anchored by two photo-series in which Lahde explores the sculptural potential inherent in letter-sized paper and the dramatic way it can transform using even the simplest of folds.
Visitors to this exhibition will be encouraged to explore the potential of folding and modifying paper through a series of evolving activities including traditional origami, kirigami, and more intuitive methods. They will then have the opportunity to have their creation shared within the exhibition!
